The tougher the job, the more important the equipment you rely on becomes. That’s why Perkins has always been committed to enhancing the power of the largest machines.
To build a range of higher-performing 6-cylinder industrial engines, we have tested and proven their reliability on harvesters, earthmoving equipment, and much more, under the harsh conditions of farms, quarries, and construction sites around the world.
Whatever the application, our largest industrial engines feature the latest smart technologies and emission-reduction capabilities to help you meet performance and environmental standards, wherever you work.
And, of course, big applications demand big power. That’s why our industrial engines range from 9.3 to 18 liters in displacement and deliver up to 597 kW (800 hp), and they can all be tailored to better meet your specific equipment and power needs.
More power. Less worry. Performance you can rely on.
Discover the Perkins 6-cylinder engines designed to ensure reliability and energy efficiency for demanding applications.

Depend on the robust reliability of the Perkins 6-cylinder industrial engine range.

These engines deliver the hard-working power needed for the machinery shaping our world.

Reliable energy that keeps you going from dawn to dusk, across all seasons.
For decades, Perkins has powered the world’s most demanding machines with innovative designs and technologies that extract maximum performance, ensuring your equipment runs smoothly, day one and beyond.
Perkins engineers worked hand-in-hand with end users to develop comprehensive 6-cylinder industrial engine solutions. From the 1700 Series to the 2800 Series, these large Perkins engines deliver high power density and performance, with outputs ranging from 250 kW to 597 kW.

The 9.3-liter, 6-cylinder turbocharged 1706 engine delivers 250–340 kW (308–456 hp) and up to 2,088 Nm @ 1,400 rpm.
Built for tough applications in construction, quarrying, and agriculture, it meets EU Stage V, U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final, China Off-Road Stage III, Brazil MAR-1, UN ECE R96 Stage IIIA, China Off-Road Stage IV, Korea Stage V, and Japan 2014 standards
This 12.5-liter, 6-cylinder engine delivers 340–430 kW (456–577 hp) with up to 2,640 Nm of torque. Thanks to compact design and enhanced thermal management, it enables smoother regeneration cycles and maximized uptime

Our latest in the large-engine lineup: a 13-liter powerplant offering up to 515 kW (690 hp).
It’s built 20% lighter and runs 2–3 dB quieter than likewise-sized single-turbo engines (15 and 18 liters)
This 18-liter, single-turbo engine delivers 429–470 kW (575–630 hp) and a peak torque of 2,951 Nm @ 1,300 rpm.
Its high power density allows fewer engines to power more machines—without sacrificing performance.
